Goalkeeper Yann Sommer is reportedly open to leaving Inter Milan to join Turkish champions Galatasaray this summer.

This according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, via FCInter1908. They report, however, that the Swiss still wants higher wages than Galatasaray are currently offering.

By now, Galatasaray’s interest in signing Hakan Calhanoglu has become a dominant theme of Inter’s transfer window.

However, Calhanoglu is not the only Inter player who the Turkish champions are thinking of a move for.

Galatasaray are also keen to sign Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, meanwhile, goalkeeper Yann Sommer would himself be open to the move from Inter to Galatasaray.

Sommer joined Inter two years ago from Bayern Munich, in the summer of 2023.

However, there is a feeling that the 36-year-old would not be unhappy to end his adventure in Milan.

Meanwhile, Inter would also be open to letting Sommer go, reports Fanatik. So long as they received a fee for the veteran goalkeeper.

Sommer wants a contract worth €7-8 million in wages, reports Fanatik.

However, Galatasaray want to pay the former Bayern and Borussia Monchengladbach keeper less than that. Fanatik anticipate that they’re ready to offer a one-year deal with an option of a further season.
