Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race for Chelsea flop Cristopher Nkunku amid talks Mehdi Taremi could leave Serie A.

Per Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the French forward is the latest name on Beppe Marotta’s shortlist to reinforce the attack.

Despite arriving at Stamford Bridge with huge expectations in 2023, Nkunku’s career in the Premier League has never taken off.

Therefore, the 27-year-old could leave London this summer, with several clubs vying for his signature.

Cristopher Nkunku ticks all the boxes for the type of player Inter chiefs want to sign.

Indeed, he’s not an out-and-out striker. Instead, he can play anywhere alongside the frontline.

Though predominantly a center-forward, Nkunku can play as an attacking midfielder and on the wing.

However, Inter must outfox competition from Fenerbahce and Fulham for the former RB Leipzig ace.

Meanwhile, they will only step up their interest in the Frenchman after offloading Mehdi Taremi.

Destined for a summer exit, Taremi is not part of Cristian Chivu’s project at San Siro.
