Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu is reportedly considering changing his formation at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri could line up in a 3-4-2-1 setup next season.
Cristian Chivu had toyed with the idea of changing Simone Inzaghi’s trademark 3-5-2 setup upon his arrival in June.
However, he has decided to stick with the established system after Inter failed to sign Ademola Lookman in the summer.
Cristian Chivu Considers Changing Inter Milan Formation in 2026/27
It’s now a near certainty that Inter will retain the 3-5-2 formation for the remainder of 2025/26.
Indeed, the Scudetto hopefuls have fared well in this setup during the early stages of the season.
Therefore, it’s hard to expect Chivu to switch formations midway through the campaign.
However, things might change next year, especially if Inter manage to sign Hellas Verona starlet Giovane.
The Brazilian forward boasts similar characteristics to Lookman, offering pace, dribbling ability, and versatility in attack.
As such, with his potential arrival, Chivu could finally experiment with a 3-4-2-1 setup.
