Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck cast doubt on his future at the club following a dominant 5-1 win over Venezia last night.
During the post-match conference via FCInterNews, the German defender offered a cryptic response about his future.
Yann Bisseck had been on the fringes at the beginning of the season.
However, Cristian Chivu has helped the 25-year-old regain his first-team status in recent weeks.
Yesterday, Bisseck was Inter’s best-performing defender, though the Nerazzurri forwards stole the show.
Indeed, Marcus Thuram scored a double, while Francesco Pio Esposito opened his club account at San Siro.
Meanwhile, Ange-Yoan Bonny scored a stunning goal off the bench.
Despite failing to keep a clean sheet, it’s worth noting that Cristian Chivu’s side conceded from Venezia’s only shot on target.
Furthermore, it was an unfortunate deflection, which left Josep Martinez with no chance to react.
Yet, Bisseck impressed amid growing speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Yann Bisseck Uncertain About His Future After Inter Milan 5-1 Venezia Win
Asked to comment on the ongoing transfer rumors, Bisseck replied: “No, I don’t think about that.
“I’m someone who lives in the moment and doesn’t focus much on the future.
“It’s normal that when a player doesn’t play much, people say he should leave.
“I have confidence in my abilities and want to show Chivu my worth.
“I’ve learned, I’ve improved, and I’m happy to have more playing time. My goal is to play every match.”
Meanwhile, Bisseck also praised the youngsters, who made their senior debuts last night.
“They’re good lads, training with us during the week,” he said. “They’re doing things the right way.
“And I’m happy for them because we’ve all gone through these moments. I hope they keep working hard; that’s the only way to improve.”
Finally, he reiterated his ambition to play for Germany at next summer’s FIFA World Cup.
“The season is long, and for the coach, it’s important that I play consistently,” he claimed.
“If I keep performing like this, it’s not a guarantee I’ll be called up, but it’s sure that I’ll be noticed. Then I have to hope for the call-up.”
