In an interview, Fredy Guarin’s agent Marcello Ferreyra talks about how Roma were very interested in acquiring the Colombian. As we all know, the deal never happened and the agent reveals why:

“We talked about it, but Porto demanded a very high figure and therefore nothing happened. Guarin however, was intrigued by the idea of coming to Roma.”

Ferreyra is also the agent for another talented player: Sporting Lisbon’s Santiago Arias. The Colombian full-back have attracted interest from both Roma and Inter.

“Santiago is followed by several clubs, not least since he returned to Sportings first team. I’m sure that within one or two months he will prove that he can play at this level. I think he is very similar to Maicon. This is a player who likes to run and attack and that he has shown over the last couple of years. We know he has a great future ahead of him. His value? Sporting knows that. I can not give a figure, it is an issue for the club to deal with.”
