Our partner fcinternews.it got an exclusive interview with the former Inter midfielder Nicola Berti. Il Cavallo Pazzo, who was a part of the Italian national team that became vice world champion in 1994, has played for both of the teams that meet at the Stadio Artemio Franchi tonight , and in the interview he talked about Inter’s situation, coach Walter Mazzarri and the change of ownership.
How do you assess the championship Inter have implemented so far?
“The team is doing a good championship. The key to judging the work is the change of ownership. We all know that it is never easy to work when such an important transition is in progress.”
We move on to the coach, what do you think of Walter Mazzarri’s work?
“Excellent, absolutely. The coach is an added value for Inter. I believe that next season he will be expecting some significant signings.”
So you think the club, considering the next season, should start from Mazzarri?
“Ohhhhh! (Laughs). My ‘roar’ explains everything. Yeah, absolutely.”
What do you think about Erick Thohir?
“I think that the Indonesian should invest, mainly for one reason: despite the difficulties the past few years considering the results, Inter is Inter. I want to take Roma as an example, I have all kinds of respect for a club like Giallorosso and even though they are having a superb season, Inter has an international brand and Thohir should bear this in mind in his work.”
