At the post-match press conference Roberto Mancini got questions about the upcoming transfer window and what Inter are looking for. Here is what he said about what Inter are looking for in midfield.
What is the type of midfielder you are looking for? Could Lucas Leiva be the right name?
“It would be hard to get him. But he could be very helpful to us because he has a lot of experience and he would be useful for us. Talking about a good player that, that plays for Liverpool is not easy.”
A comment about Bonazzoli; is he still too young to play regularly?
“No. If I put him on that means he is good. But he is very young and we can’t expect him to change the games by himself. But I am sure he will have a great future.”

No way…. Lucas is’nt better than M’Vila. Use the money on two quality wingers instead of a weak midfielder that even can’t find much time in a average british team as Liverpool are in the moment….

Mancini: “Leiva could be the right name for us”
If we expect something special for wooden bench warmer 28 years old Lucas Leiva, all i can say is poor us. Doesn’t have to mention, that we have Medel, M’Vila and Khrin for his position. With that kind of transfers we will have many performances like Cagliari and Parma terrible losses.
Leiva is not the same type of player as the “destroyers” you mentioned. He’s much more a simular to Alonso Xabi – a regista-kind of defensive midfielder who can help Kova and Hernanes out creating our game-play from the back!
Leiva could help us only to become a relegated team. He’s as close to Xabi Alonso, as Campagnaro or Carrizo is. He’s same type as M’Vila who’s not typical destroyer, why we need in that case some 28 year old wooden bench warmer?
