In an interview with TV Luna, current Pescara defender Hugo Campagnaro explained the reasons for his farewell to Napoli in 2013 to move to Inter: “In the beginning Napoli had doubts about whether they would offer me a new contract or not and I had some offers from some important teams in Serie A. I had to choose what was important for me before it expired, because if I would have been injured, no team would sign me and since the offer from Napoli didn’t come in January I signed with Inter. Then Napoli made me another offer but I had already signed with the Nerazzurri: you could say there were problems with the timing.”
The conversation then shifted to focus on Walter Mazzarri, the coach who has garnered mixed success in his experiences at Napoli and Inter: “At Napoli, there were players who did what he asked without doubting anything, the team turned around, there was an idea of the game; at Inter this idea wasn’t there and the players were disorganized and he never managed to put things in order.”
