Giovanni Gardini is ready to become the new general director at Inter. His meeting yesterday with president Erick Thohir and CEO Michael Bolingbroke was positive and according to Sky Inter will make an official statement about Gardini soon. Gardini currently holds the same role at Hellas Verona, will cover a triple role at Inter. He will handle relationships with Italian and international institutions, he will handle the economic side of the transfers and handle the sporting area, including the relationship with coach Roberto Mancini.

this called business 1st. a man who close with mancini, media said.
How many directors do we need? I’m all in for getting the right personal, but it seems to me that we have been hiring non stop lately without letting anyone go?.. Surely directors can’t be cheap in salary..
He’s replacing Fassone, who left Inter september last year..
Thohir is President (but rarely in Italy)
Bolingbroke is CEO, so mainly taking care of the pure business side
The General Director is needed to cover the day to day directly football related issues, and also importantly to represent Inter in the “networking” among other Serie A leadership to protect Inter’s interest. Very important to have an Italian who is familiar with all the wheeling and dealing that goes on.
Great, thanks for sharing 🙂
