After the victory against Empoli, Mauro Icardi spoke to Premium Calcio about the game:
Let’s start with Inter as a team instead with you. Is this an Inter with no limits? “We are working well at the moment to achieve our goals. After Sundays game we were tired, but you could see a good squad. Today we kept possession when we needed to and we capitalised on the chances we got.”
The numbers you are showing right now, are they thanks to the contract renewal? “That’s a thing between me and the club and it was settled in August. That’s all I have to say about that. I have always said that I wanted to continue to achieve great things in this jersey, that includes scoring goals.”
Some great players have arrived, is this the best squad you have played in so far? “Inter always has a great squad with great players. The club had an excellent mercato, great players with experience and quality arrived, you can see that on the pitch.”
Have De Boer made a difference? “Last year when we played in Empoli, we didn’t perform well but still managed to get the result we wanted. Tonight we played a different game. We played well and found continuity. But the next game is already this Sunday.”

yup,,,it has been a whole year,,,but don’t forget that Mancini didn’t make him play Continuously prefered Melo and Brozo over him !,,,beside do you think that Mancini added something special to the young players personality and playing tactics ?! I mean Cmon he didn’t even know which formation to be choosed ! UNLIKE De Boer who I think already started to push our players to their limit and added playing tactics to each one of them and teach them how to play as a team!
Nah, i am in team kondo man. But it frustate me of how long i need to wait for him to step up his game. We invest so much for him, at least he can be the one who carry our beloved team in his back. Not like last night, joao mario even watched his ass. He must understand how much he fall from the starting 11 in midfield. Joao mario and banega is guaranteed starting 11. If he cant emulate medel defensive and dirty work, doing simple passing, su kudos to him then.
And dont blame others for him being suck. It is grown up world, he babysit himself not others.
I really agree about every word you have said,,,but I still have the hope that Kondo will be a great player,,,ok I blamed Mancini in my previous comment but not in the sake of just blaming but in the sake of explainig why Kondo and others didnt devolp that much,,,finally,,,dont worry mate,,,under De Boer training and playing beside excellent players such as Banega and Mario he will grow very fast,,,I have a deep faith in that,,,FORZA INTER NOW AND EVER!!!
