It seems like the future of Alessandro Bastoni already is set. At least according to TuttoMercatoWeb who states that the Inter jewel, born in 1999 and currently on a loan spell with Bergamo club Atalanta (where he grew up as a football player), will return to Milan and San Siro in January. The reason for this, and something that TMW underlines, is that the Inter management is very disappointed at Sampdoria coach Gian Piero Gasperini and how sparsely the Italian defender has been used. So far, Bastoni has only played 14 minutes in the Serie A and has only one appearance in the TIM Coppa Italia: “Therefore there is now the idea to bring the youngster back and insert him with his new teammates, thus covering the open space that is left since Vanheusden got injured. This is an option that Ausilio, Sabatini and Spalletti are evaluating with great attention, but that does not close the door to a new temporary transfer of the player. Should that come to a reality, there are a number of interested clubs with Benevento in pole.”
