Inter has had the first training session of 2018 under the supervision of coach Luciano Spalletti. There are still doubts of who should start as a result of the injuries of Joao Miranda scheduled to be back for the match against Roma and Danilo D’Ambrosio scheduled to return towards the end of January.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that, Spalletti can confirm a start for Milan Skriniar and Andrea Ranocchia in the middle of defence and also for Valencia loan Joao Cancelo to the right in Inter’s four-men defense. The Portuguese player has been most impressive since he got the chance to start a couple of weeks ago and was one of Inter’s best player in the last game against Lazio.

What still needs to be decided is who should play at the left. Like last game it all comes down to either Davide Santon or Yuto Nagatomo, there is a chance that they both could start, but that would mean that Cancelo will he have to be moved up in the pitch. However it is more likely to change the trequartista position, where the decision is between Marcelo Brozovic and Borja Valero. Should the Croat start, Gagliardini will start on the bench.
