Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij has for some time now already said yes to Inter after rejecting an offer from Lazio President Claudio Lotito, the only thing the player is waiting for now is a strong signal from Milano that the club wants his signature.

This according to reports from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport who explains that just as Inter has slowed down in the Serie A (five points in five games, only one victory) the club has slowed down in their efforts to get the Dutchman to the club, thereby allowing Barcelona to throw their hat in the race.

At the same time, Lazio President Lotito continues to try to convince de Vrij to renew, with a new offer of €2.5 million with a buy-out clause of €25 million valid only in July. A figure that is much lower than the €4 million offered by Inter as well as the one Barcelona currently is working on. Inter should make a move as soon.
