In an interview with Tutto Mercato Web, player’s agent Patrick Bastianelli gave his version and his opinions of the mercato of Inter and how Inter management behaved: “I think that when you, as a Sporting Director, work without the possibility of buying a football player outright, especially during the January transfer market, it is hard to land any important signings with top players. Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio and Director of Football, Walter Sabatini are in a situation where they have no budget and still they made a serious effort in bringing Javier Pastore to Inter from Paris S:t Germain. Should they have succeeded, this would have been an enourmous accomplishment. But, they could only operate on loan deal signings and still managed to sign Lisandro Lopez from Benfica and Rafinha from Barcelona, two players that are really good and add value to the team. As always, Ausilio and Sabatini did a good job a realised some of the concrete ideas, and they did this without having a budget for it.

lopez adds value?
They should only sell Ederinho if they can get his price up to the value he really is, like before when at Sampdoria. Otherwise keep him as he’s good for the squad.
They didn`t manage to sell Eder, but perhaps this isn`t the right moment for that.
I don`t think Lisandro Lopez is really good – he came just for the numbers, like Sainsbury last season… He will probably never even step on the pitch to wear our shirt. We could have BOUGHT Martín Cáceres for €600k, just like Lazio did. They offered him a risk-free, 6 months contract, with the option of another 2 years. So no injury risk on the club. At least he has Serie A experience and he can play in different positions at the back.
Rafinha deal is a good one, but they should have done more for Spalletti with regards to the attacking department. I think a loan for Deloufeu could have been easily done, but perhaps Spalletti did not want him?
The feeling I get is that we went ALL IN on Pastore and did not have a backup plan.
The striker situation at inter is curious. We have Icardi then were then piamonte. Apparently piamonte was a moment away from joining sassuolo leaving icardi and eder. If Eder was also being scouted around then who is replacement for icardi in the grand plan?
Will be interesting to see how inter cope without icardi. Crossing is our main weapon but Eder isn’t particularly renowned as a dominant header of the ball.
if icardi is injured than we have only eder, pinamonti is still too weak for seria a.
eder needs different strategy in attack, can inter provide sort of play that suits him is a big question.
You mean Pinamonti, right?
No i meant the other guy. Always good to know someone will always be around to check correct spelling
they missed pastore and kept and fucked up brozović before the WC in russia.
Horrible job go f*ck off
