After the final whistle of the game between Inter and Benevento, Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia, the author of the second goal in the 2-0 win, talked to Premium Sport giving his views of an important win against a team positioned at the bottom of the Serie A table:
This was a win that you really needed although it was a difficult one? “Extremely difficult win, Benevento played really well. But we knew that before, that they would be a difficult team to beat. But in times like this, very difficult times, we knew we had to take out the best of our character in order to win and bring home three points. Three points which are extremely important.”
After the first goal everything kind of went your way “During these hard times it is very important to bring out the best of yourself, to work as a team and help each other in order to get the three points, a goal always helps.”
After the own goal against Genoa you and Skriniar are protagonists in a positive way “When you work hard it pays off, that is how things work.”
And now you have the derby “Now we have the derby, and we are excited about it.”
