After the hard earned win against Benevento, the 2-0 goal scorer, Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia, talked to Inter TV and tried to explain the impact of the three points gained: “An incredible joy after the goal, even more for the win. A most difficult game to play on a psycologichal level, but the most important thing is the three points we brought home, the rest is not important. Again, three extremely powerful points, I do not think anyone but us can understand that.

“Now we will recuperate for the derby in the best possible way. We all know how important that game is, we have to train well and we have to be as prepared as we can be for a special kind of game. We have to correct the things that did not go well tonight and we have to boost our confidence” Ranocchia continued

Inter’s captain for the evening was asked how important the fans were to the team stating that: “There have always been at least 50 000 at San Siro, what can I say? They are fantastic and that we have to restart with these three points. We know our objective and we do not have any excuses, we have to get there at all costs. At a mental level it was really important to finally get a goal, this was a game that was hard to prepare for. But, we all have to improve a lot although these are still points that count in the standings. This is how you get a Champions League spot, and to score at San Siro is always beatiful.”
