After being held up for a while with interviews to different TV-stations, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti finally arrived to the press room for his post game press conference in order to share his thoughts of tonight’s dramatic derby.

This was the 5th consecutive match without conceding any goal and the attack is playing with more conviction. However the team seems to be more aggressive and tough?

“We need to be determined in some of the moments during the match. We could have made some decisions faster, instead we lost possession of the ball. The one thing we need to improve on are the crosses from our wingers. Ivan was successful with that last Sunday against Verona. But we need to put more weight in the area.”

Can Icardi’s errors be justified by the extremely fast pitch due to the heavy rain?

“That could be the case, I can explain them a bit more simpler: Sometimes he scores goals that are not normal, today he should have scored two normal goals.”

What did you say to the 4th official after the game?

“Who told you this? Ok, I told him who I wanted to kiss and that they were not there (smiling).”

What has happened to Brozovic?

“I never do anything, often I have to listen to the different behaviour in the field.  Then I have to give the team a direction. By making Brozovic a trequartista he had to interpret the pitch in a better way like he asked for. We have created a context where he passes most of the balls where he is very strong. Because then he gets the ball back and feels empowered by the responsibility.”

What do you think of Milan?

“It is better to ask Gattuso, he can answer that question better than me.”
