As the days passes, Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan is becoming more and more an objective for Inter at the trequartista position. Especially now when it seems harder and harder to sign Rafinha. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport talks about Inter and Nainggolan trying to find an understanding, something that is backed after the player’s agent, Alessandro Beltrami,  had talks with Roma Sporting Director Mauro Baldissoni.

“Beltrami knows that Inter, with Spalletti pushing hard for a transfer, wants the Belgian at all costs and in a meeting at the end of the season, Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio once again stated the fact that the Black-and-Blue wants to sign the powerful midfielder. The rest was made by the coach himself who, via telephone, talked to Nainggolan and expressed his desire to coach him once again. But beware of that this is a complicated transfer that needs a lot of pieces to fall into the right place.”

To sum things up, Inter wants Nainggolan and Roma has accepted the idea of letting him go. As for the Chinese competition, it has faded. There were talks about Fabio Cannavaro’s Evergrande, but they have signed Talisca from Benfica which means that there is no longer room for Radja, one reason being the rule of how many foreign players a Chinese club can have on its roster.

According to the Corriere the “Starting price will be at €40 million. The price may go down a bit, but anyway we are talking about an important investment. Inter knows the economic aspects of deal and are waiting for the right moment to move.”
