Davide Zappacosta has insisted he is “only thinking about Chelsea” amid transfer rumours linking him with a summer switch to Inter.
The Chelsea full back has been identified by the Nerazzurri as a possible addition at right back to replace Joao Cancelo, who Inter chose not to take their purchase option up on.
I just want to have a great season, regardless of where I play. The interest from Inter is pleasing but I do not know anything about it and I am only thinking of Chelsea for now,” the 26-year-old former Torino man told Sky Sport Italia.
The Italian international joined the Stamford Bridge outfit last summer and made 35 appearances across all competitions in his debut season with the Blues.
Zappacosta is among a number of alleged targets the Nerazzurri are currently considering with Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal and Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko two other names on their shortlist as per other reports currently circulating in the media.
