Last night S.P.A.L. Sporting Director Andrea Gazzoli payed a visit to Inter’s headquarters in central Milano and the outcome of the meeting with the Nerazzurri management was successful, Italian media outlet FcInterNews report.

According to the report, during the meeting it was decided that central defender Alessandro Bastoni, born in 1999, will spend the coming season on loan at SPAL, who finished in 17th place in the Serie A last season, only three points above relegation.

Bastoni, who became an Inter player last summer in a €10 million deal, spent last season on loan at Atalanta, the club Inter signed the player from. This means that Bastoni will leave Atalanta one year ahead of what the original deal between the clubs stipulated in a deal that send Inter Primavera player Andrea Bettella to Bergamo.

This gives Alessandro Bastoni a great opportunity to try to get more Serie A experience after a season where he was barely utilized by Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
