Mousa Dembelé remains at top of Inter and Luciano Spalletti’s midfield wish list. Everything will become clearer after July 13th when the Chinese transfer market closes.

At the moment it is up to Tottenham to get €25-30 million for the Belgian player and for to Inter to bring him to Milan. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport explains: “If by that date Dembelé and his entourage still feel like they have expressed earlier, that Mousa would like a new adventure in Italy, then Inter will have another chance to negotiate for the player, despite the fact that Tottenham coach Pochettino is an admirer of the Belgian international.”

The almost 31-year old Dembelé could stay a couple of years at Inter and then head east towards China and Suning’s other team Jiangsu. Especially since Dembelé’s teammates Witsel and Carrasco both have great experiences from a Chinese adventure.

The alternative also remains William Carvalho, the Portuguese international that recently got knocked out of the FIFA World Cup.

When it comes to Carvalho Inter has already a strategy because of all the turbulence in Sporting Lisbon and the player himself has requested to be released by his club after the aggression of the Sporting Lisbon fans.

Carvalho’s price tag is €25 million but Inter has sent a FIFA agent with an offer of €10 million – an offer Sporting Lisbon has to take into consideration, given that a court ruling could mean Carvalho leaves for free.
