According to information filtered out from Trigoria (AS Roma’s training ground), the chances of Roma and Alessandro Florenzi finding an agreement for a renewal of the player’s contract is no more than 50%.
The Italian international, whose contract expires next year, could, within six months, agree a deal with another club and leave Roma for free in the summer but from the Roma side there seems to be no ultimatum for signing within the short term.
Roma Director of Football, Monchi, as can be read in today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, has offered the player a €2.7 million plus bonuses, but the player himself thinks this is not enough. However, the Roma management remains convinced of cutting the clubs salary costs to raise their offer and afterall they have still not received an offer for the player from anyway. Should the renewal between Roma and Florenzi go south, interested clubs (like Inter and Spanish side Atletico Madrid) should be ready to put an offer of at €15-20 million on the table in order to sign the player.
