According to Turin based sports newspaper Tuttosport, one of the key elements that will decide the Champions in Serie A will be the defence of Inter against the attack of Juventus.

The Bianconeri have set up a stellar looking attacking department thanks to the signings of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Douglas Costa (on a permanent basis) who will join Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic to form their attack.

The Nerazzurri have meanwhile formed an incredible defensive back line thanks to the signing of Lazio player Stefan de Vrij which gives Inter a first-class defence with the Dutch player joining Milan Skriniar, Miranda and Andrea Ranocchia. Something that also gives Inter coach Luciano Spalletti the opportunity to, in some games, play with a three-man defence due to the high levels of those players.

The Turin based newspaper believes that this shows the roles have changed if you look on how the teams were set up a couple of years ago where Juventus made the defence their strongest point. The Italian champions still face the complications of a new set-up however since longtime goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has left and that there possibly will be a handover in the starting eleven from Andrea Barzagli to the young Mattia Caldara.
