Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario returned to Milano yesterday, together with Joao Miranda and Matias Vecino, but this is a return that nobody wanted, neither the player, who previously declared that he will not return to Italy and that his Inter adventure is over, nor the club that has put the player on the transfer list trying to recover some of the €40 million spent on bringing him to Milan.

According to Milano-based Gazzetta dello Sport only loan offers have arrived for the former Sporting man. After the World Cup in Russia, four Premier League clubs have shown an interest in Joao Mario’s services: West Ham, Wolverhampton, Bournemouth and Everton as well as Spanish La Liga club Real Betis.

Since the transfer window in England closes on August 9th, there is bit of a hurry which could mean that a loan deal could be an option. This solution is better than keeping a player that is not satisfied and having to pay his salary.
