Finally, Inter’s right wing has two players that can alternate/back up for each other. Aside from Danilo D’Ambrosio who the past couple of years has been the starting player in the right wing position, Inter have not had anyone there but can now add the name of Sime Vrsaljko to the list.

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the type of deal is the usual one we have gotten so familiar with, namely a loan deal with the right of redemption set at the price of €24 million. Inter’s starting offer was €22 million but Atletico Madrid re-evaluated Vrsaljko after the World Cup in Russia and wanted €30 million initially.

The agreement came after Inter raised the offer to €6.5 million for the loan and €17.5 million for the redemption fee. The Croat, who won a silver medal at the World Cup, could arrive in Milan tonight in order to begin his medical examinations tomorrow.

After that he will leave for a couple of days of vacation and on August 6th he will join Luciano Spalletti and the rest of the team, as will his fellow Croatian teammates Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic.
