Former Lazio winger Keita Balde’s transfer to Inter is a done deal, at least according to Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who reports that today it is only a matter of time before the player makes his Inter debut.

According to the report: “The soon-to-be ex-Monaco player will eventually put his signature on paper in order to sign a contract for one year with the option to extend it another four years should Inter choose to activate the redemption clause after the first year.

“During his spells at Lazio and Monaco, Keita has worn the number 14 jersey but at Inter this number nowadays belong to Inter newcomer Radja Nainggolan. Perhaps he will choose the number 11 jersey currently worn by Matias Vecino. The Senegalese player, who recently came back from the FIFA World Cup in Russia, was close to Inter both last year and in 2015 but in both those cases it turned out to be impossible to negotiate with Lazio president Claudio Lotito. This time when Inter dealt with Monaco it was a lot more easier, and we can expect an official transfer soon, especially since the player himself already told his entourage that “I can not wait to start a new adventure and to return to Serie A.”
