With the possible arrival of Luka Modric, Inter should shoot for the top of the Serie A this season at least according to Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

According to the report “Ronaldo changes the attack of a team, Luka Modric changes the entire game. But even if the Croat should not come to Inter, Spalletti’s team has improved dramatically.”

The newspaper then breaks everything down into the following four points:

Quality

“Of course Inter has Mauro Icardi, who even with a typical up-and-down season (excellent for the first half of the championship, bad in the second half) scored most goals together with Ciro Immobile in the Serie A last season. To Icardi, Inter has now added Radja Nainggolan (who will assist Icardi) and Keita Baldé (irrational).”

Strength

“All the alternatives, Inter now has a depth in each department that has not been seen for a while now. For example, an exceptional player like Lautaro Martinez will probably be on the bench a lot due to Spalletti’s favorite player Radja Nainggolan, described by the coach as an extra terrestrial.”

Goals

“Compared to last season, Inter has bought 5-6 starting players and if it is true that Juventus has reinforce the team with Ronaldo and other players, it is also true that a fourth spot like last year would be a disappointment for Inter who is now stronger than Napoli.”

New Players

“At the same time, 5-6 new players are a lot and this will be a challenge for Spalletti to incorporate these players in the team and make everybody play as a team following the ideas of the coach” the newspaper concludes.
