When and if Inter decide to cash in on Croatian international full-back Sime Vrsaljko, his former club Atletico Madrid stand to earn 20% of that future transfer fee Spanish media outlet AS report.

According to the report this is one of the contract details that Atletico were adamant about during the negotiations with the Nerazzurri. The twenty percentage share will be 20% of the difference between the possible future transfer sum and the €17.5 million that Inter most likely will pay out next summer in order to activate the redemption clause and permanently secure the services of the Croatian international, who was part of Croatia’s World Cup team that managed to go all the way to the final, where they lost to France earlier this summer.

Sime Vrsaljko joined the La Liga outfit in the summer of 2016 and has since then featured 54 times across all competitions scoring the one goal and helping the Los Colchoneros win the Europa League last season.
