Inter’s dream of signing the best player of the FIFA World Cup in Russia, Luka Modric, from Real Madrid, is fading fast and could remain a dream.

This according to what Italian TV Channel SportMediaset who reports today, how Modric, who is training with the Los Merengues squad in the club’s training center in Valdebebas, has been in contact with his friends from the Croatian national team at Inter, telling them that Real Madrid will not let him leave the club to join them in Milano.

SportMediaset also reports that the deadline for the transfer to become a reality has been set to this Monday, August 13th, when it all comes down to if Modric actually boards the plane that will take Real Madrid to Tallin in order to play in the European Supercup where the reigning Champions League winners face off with cross town rivals Atletico Madrid who won the Europa League last season.
