“We are back” – This was what everyone at San Siro and at home could read from the tifo presented from Curva Nord at the start of last night’s game between Inter and Tottenham.

The tifo expressed what every Inter fan felt, happiness for finally returning to the UEFA Champions League. About 65.000 fans had come to San Siro in order to cheer for their team and the support was heard, especially during the final minutes of the game, something that helped the team turn the game around.

Milano-based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport describes the atmosphere at the San Siro as: “The Nerazzurri fans led the team to a great comeback, and it was actually under the loudest sector of Meazza where both Mauro Icardi, who chose a really good time for his first goal in the Champions League, and Matias Vecino could celebrate their goals. Vecino’s header reminding a lot of the goal at Olympico against Lazio last season, the goal that actually got the team to the Champions League.”
