Milan city Mayor Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala has again commented on the stadium situation of the Milanese clubs Inter and Milan.

“I expect the teams to officially come to me [with their plans] and I have asked them to do so by the end of the year. If the idea is to build a new stadium I would like to know if it would be in the San Siro area or not. I think that would be a good alternative for us,” he explained in an interview with news agency ANSA.

The Milanese clubs recently signed a memorandum of understanding when it comes to working together on a stadium and whether that be renovating their current shared home of San Siro or building a new shared home remains to be seen.  Milan and Inter have shared the 80,018 capacity San Siro since 1947 and believe that working together is in the best interests of both clubs for the future.
