Giovanni Malago, the president of the Italian National Olympic Committee, has admitted that the ongoing debate about the future of San Siro will not cause any problems as visited San Siro earlier today to evaluate it for potential usage for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

“I said it at the beginning of this adventure in Venice that for us it is not a problem because everything is fine whatever the outcome is whether the clubs remain at San Siro, a new San Siro is made or the existing one is renovated.

“All three situations are perfect are perfect for the IOC. Believe me when I say that this is not a problem. It’s a problem that concerns Milan, Inter and the Milan city council.

“Common sense is needed but any option is fine. This San Siro is an issue it’s true, but I feel I can say it would be less of an issue if it were rebuilt. No matter how we look at it this is an issue.”
