Lega Serie A are hoping that a decision for the league to be suspended until the beginning of next month will not be made tomorrow according to a report in today’s print edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Bosses of Serie A wish to continue playing behind closed doors and are ready to take a stand but the increasing pressure being put on the Italian football federation by the Italian government makes it appear almost certain that the league will be temporarily suspended in a bid to try and stop Coronavirus from spreading any further.

The report goes on to state that no clubs have given an official stance on whether they want to keep going or not amid the ongoing Coronavirus crisis the country is facing but the report suggests that Lazio president Claudio Lotito is one of a number of presidents wanting the show to continue.
