Inter have not made contact with the representatives of Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen according to a report from Italian journalist and transfer market expert Nicolo Schira.

A report in the media earlier on today had suggested that Inter have made contact with Ter Stegen’s representatives as they look to find themselves a long term replacement for ageing current number one Samir Handanovic, who is set to sign a contract extension until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Schira states that there has been no contact and Ter Stegen is in fact in advanced talks with Barcelona over a contract extension until 2025.

Schira goes on to explain that Inter have set their sights on signing Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso to be the long term replacement to Handanovic.

This season the Argentine shot-stopper made 39 appearances across all competitions to date in which he kept a very respectable tally of 14 clean sheets.

Schira posted: “No talks between Inter and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. The German goalkeeper is in very advanced talks with Barça to extend his contract until 2025. Inter have closed Handanovic’s renewal until 2022 and are looking at Juan Musso.”
