Inter’s Aleksandar Kolarov Wouldn’t Have Played Vs Torino Even Without COVID-19 Infection, Italian Broadcaster Claims

Aleksandar Kolarov would not have played for Inter against Torino even if he had not tested positive for COVID-19 according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

A report emerged earlier on today which stated Kolarov had tested positive for COVID-19 and an official statement confirming his positive test result soon followed from Inter, who have been hit hard by COVID-19 positive tests in recent weeks.

This report claims that he would not have played against La Granata anyway due to the fact he returned back to Milan early from national team duty due to a muscle problem which prevented him from playing in any of the Serbian national team’s games.

The recently turned 35-year-old, who arrived at Inter for a nominal fee from Roma in the recent Summer transfer window, has made six appearances this season, in which he has tallied one assist.
