The coming days are crucial when it comes to the Evergrande Group’s potential sponsorship of Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of La Repubblica.

The Chinese group have long been linked with succeeding Pirelli as Inter’s main shirt sponsor starting from next season and the report details that the next few days are crucial.

Pirelli have been Inter’s main shirt sponsor for over 20 years now but the current contract between the parties is due to expire at the end of this current season.

Pirelli’s chief executive Marco Tronchetti Provera has stated that the relationship between the parties will continue albeit in a different manner to the current one.

A report last month suggested that Evergrande are in fact in pole position to replace Pirelli as Inter’s main shirt sponsor. Hisense and Samsung have both also been suggested as potential replacements for Pirelli in the media in recent months.
