Romelu Lukaku is missing Inter’s fans at San Siro as the Nerazzurri’s bid to win Serie A heats up.

The Belgian striker is the man of the moment for Antonio Conte’s side after starring in Sunday’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.

Lukaku is reportedly attracting interest from Real Madrid and is on course with Lautaro Martinez to break all kinds of goal-scoring records at Inter this season.

Answering questions from his followers on Twitter, the 27-year-old said: “Everything has been good at Inter so far, I just miss the fans in the stadiums.

“At the moment I’m focusing only on the present, my target is the next match.”

Lukaku has scored 57 goals in 81 appearances since joining Inter in 2019 and was asked to pick a favourite.

“Napoli away last season,” he replied, referencing the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 win in January 2020.

Asked what he said after scoring Inter’s third goal against AC Milan on Sunday, with many interpreting his words (‘I’m the best, I told you’) as a message towards Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lukaku said: “Man, I talked a lot of s*** adrenaline I guess!”

Lukaku was also asked about his partnership with Lautaro Martinez, with whom he has combined with to score 38 goals across all competitions this season.

“Communication is key!” he added.

“We have a great feel for each other, but most importantly we work for the team!”

Lukaku has scored 23 goals in 30 appearances for Inter this season and is one of the main reasons they sit four points clear at the top of Serie A after matchday 23.
