Stefan de Vrij’s performances for Inter have increased the defender’s value to around €50 million, according to a report in the Italian media.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport, De Vrij is now valued between €45-50 million after the Nerazzurri signed him on a free transfer from Lazio in 2018.
The Netherlands international centre-back is going nowhere anytime soon though, with Antonio Conte regarding him as ‘priceless’.
Conte has picked De Vrij at almost every occasion this season, with the 29-year-old recognised as a key figure for Inter’s dreams of winning the Serie A title.
De Vrij has reached a degree of maturity he had never before shown in his career, according to the Milan-based publication, featuring in all but two of Inter’s matches in all competitions this season.
He has only missed the Nerazzurri’s league victories at home to Fiorentina and away at Genoa so far this season, scoring his only goal of the campaign in the 2-1 defeat at Sampdoria last month.
GdS described De Vrij as one of Inter’s best signings in recent seasons, having reportedly chosen the Nerazzurri three years ago despite strong interest from Liverpool and Barcelona.
