Inter central midfielder Arturo Vidal has taken to Instagram to assure fans that he will come back stronger than ever after undergoing surgery today.
The Chilean national team player underwent an operation on his left knee this morning to correct a meniscal problem and Inter confirmed that the operation was ‘a complete success’.
Vidal, who joined Inter last summer from Barcelona, is expected to be out of action for the next three to four weeks while he recovers, with Conte reportedly hoping to have him back against Cagliari on April 11.
The 33-year-old, who is under contract with Inter until the end of next season, posted: “Thank you all very much for your support and nice words.
“The surgery has been a success.
“I will be back on the pitch very soon with a lot of desire and stronger than ever.”
Vidal, who has recently drawn links with Marseille, Flamengo and now Real Betis, has made 30 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored two goals and provided two assists.
He made his first start in over a month during Monday’s 1-0 win at home to Atalanta, but was substituted shortly after half-time following a disappointing display.
