Andrei Radu and Federico Dimarco are more than good enough to enjoy successful careers at Inter, at least according to one of their former academy teammates.

Michael Ventre made 45 appearances for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side between 2013 and 2015, scoring eight goals and helping Stefano Vecchi’s side win the prestigious Viareggio youth tournament.

The 25-year-old striker, who now plays for Ventimiglia in Italy’s amateur leagues, was hugely impressed by both players during their time together at Inter.

“Radu is a brilliant guy, always happy and entertaining,” Ventre told FcInter1908.it earlier this week.

“I remember he always dressed very extravagantly…

“He’s a great goalkeeper, he’s only 23 and still has a lifetime ahead to play in Serie A.

“In my opinion, remaining at Inter and being able to study Samir Handanovic, he could become an ideal successor to the Slovenian.

“The Nerazzurri might already have a keeper who is ready in house, it could be a solution.

“I remember Radu from his time with the Primavera and he really was good.”

Dimarco is thought to be Inter’s preferred choice to replace Ashley Young at left wing-back next season, having enjoyed another great season on loan at Hellas Verona.

Napoli are also reportedly interested in the 23-year-old, but if Ventre’s experience with Dimarco is anything to go by then Inter should get their skates on and secure his return quickly.

“He’s a splendid person with a fantastic family behind him,” Ventre recalled.

“I hope Dimarco can keep getting better.

“I think Hellas Verona are already a big club in Serie A, but perhaps Dimarco could do better still.

“A future at Inter? I hope so for him because he deserves it.

“Dimarco is an extraordinary guy, I hope he can return to Inter not least because he’s always been a Nerazzurri supporter, and he played there right from childhood.

“I hope he can go back to Inter, it could even happen because he’s a strong player.”

Dimarco has scored four goals and provided five assists while on loan at Hellas Verona this season, having so far made 27 appearances in all competitions for Ivan Juric’s side.
