Inter could have a battle on their hands to keep hold of Lucien Agoume in the summer, as per a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the midfielder, who is currently on loan at Spezia, was attracting attention from lots of clubs outside Serie A.

Agoume will make a decision on his future together with Inter at the end of the season, having shown off his intriguing potential in flashes under Vincenzo Italiano.

The 19-year-old has played just 11 times in Serie A this season, but Inter have huge faith in him nonetheless and consider him one of their brightest young prospects.

Inter will also have a decision to make regarding the future of Lorenzo Pirola, who is due to return from his own loan spell at Monza.

Antonio Conte was impressed by the centre-back during his time with Inter’s first team last year, but Pirola has only made eight appearances in Serie B so far.

Multiple reports in Italy today have suggested Inter want to reduce their wage bill and lower the average age of their squad, which could open the door to one or both players staying at the club for next season.
