Inter’s outgoing players will follow their teammates’ lead regarding a possible pay cut, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInter1908.it), the Nerazzurri have several players whose contracts expire in the summer, such as Daniele Padelli, Andrea Ranocchia, Aleksandar Kolarov and Ashley Young.

All four players are ‘considering’ Steven Zhang’s request to give up two months’ wages, which was made official during a discussion at Appiano Gentile today.

However, they are expected to align with the rest of their teammates and support whatever decision they take regarding the matter.

Inter’s players were widely reported in today’s papers to be against the idea of giving up two months’ wages, despite the club’s well-documented financial difficulties.

The squad is thought to be open to renegotiating all their contracts, though, which would at least give Suning the chance to defer certain payments until a later date.
