Chelsea have named their price for Inter to sign Emerson Palmieri, according to a leading Italian broadcaster tonight.

Sky Sport Italia (via FcInter1908.it) said the Blues wanted €20 million to sell the 26-year-old, who has fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel.

Inter are not prepared to meet that asking price for Emerson, who made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, and will ask Chelsea to lower their demands.

Updates are expected soon as the clubs begin talks for the Italian-Brazilian, who is Inter’s first-choice target in the left wing-back position.

Emerson reportedly has interest from Inter’s former boss Luciano Spalletti, who recently became Napoli’s head coach and worked with him during his second stint at Roma.

Inter’s new boss Simone Inzaghi has approved a move for the Chelsea outcast, according to a report earlier, so it remains to be seen if the Serie A champions can agree a fee with Chelsea.
