Inter have issued a denial that there are talks ongoing with Paris Saint-Germain for defender Milan Skriniar.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia who moments ago reported that sources within the club have denied that there are new developments that could lead to them accepting an offer for the Slovakian from PSG, despite reports from French media.

Earlier today, a report from French news outlet L’Equipe stated that PSG are “optimistic” that they can still agree a deal to sign Skriniar before the summer transfer window slams shut.

So far this summer Inter have rebuffed all of the Parisians’ offers and have reportedly taken Skriniar off of the market for all intents and purposes, but according to the report PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is personally intervening in the negotiations to try and secure a breakthrough.

PSG have been chasing Skriniar for much of the summer without success, but he has remained their top target, with head coach Christophe Galtier admitting yesterday that the 27-year-old remains an objective for them.

The Parisians have not given up on signing Skriniar, but according to sources from within the club, Inter’s stance remains that they are not going to accept a new offer from PSG.
