Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is hoping to be back from injury in time for either the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Fiorentina after the international break, or at the latest against Juventus in the Coppa Italia.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that while the 23-year-old’s thigh injury will be serious enough to rule him out against Juventus this weekend in the league, he is aiming be fit in time to face the Bianconeri in the Coppa Italia.
Inter have just one match left to go before the international break, the Derby d’Italia in the league on Sunday evening.
The injury that Bastoni picked up against Porto on Tuesday will be serious enough to rule him out of participating in Sunday’s match.
However, the aim will be for the defender to be back not long after the international break, potentially against Fiorentina in the Nerazzurri’s first Serie A match after the break.
If Bastoni is not back then, he will look to be back in time for the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus.
