Paris Saint-Germain would be ready to offer midfielder Leandro Paredes plus a significant cash fee for Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the French champions’ interest in the 26-year-old is starting to take shape, whilst Liverpool are also very keen.

Barella underlined his importance to Inter yesterday evening with his goal and overall performance in the Champions League.

The former Cagliari midfielder put in a man of the match display to dispatch Benfica with a wild 3-3 draw.

It is nothing new for clubs around Europe to eye up Barella, but according to the Corriere PSG are ready to spare no expense to try and tempt Inter into letting him leave during the summer transfer window.

The newspaper report that the Parisians will put forward a very large cash offer, in addition to 28-year-old Argentine midfielder Paredes, who is currently on loan with Juventus.

Formerly of Roma, Empoli, and Zenit St. Petersburg, Paredes has been a target for the Nerazzurri in the past.

The 28-year-old has had something of a mixed season on loan with Juventus, whilst he was a part of the Argentina squad which won the World Cup in December although the PSG-owned midfielder lost his starting place for the Albiceleste in the knockout rounds.

In any event, PSG are hoping that the prospect Paredes as part of a deal would make Inter consider a move more seriously, whilst the Corriere report that the cash offer alongside the Argentine is set to be a very large one in the hopes of testing the Nerazzurri’s resolve.

Meanwhile, the Corriere confirm that Barella is also a top target for Premier League giants Liverpool.

The Reds have been persistently linked with the 26-year-old as they aim to rebuild in midfield this summer, having even been reported to be ready to make a cash-plus-player offer of their own, containing former Monaco midfielder Fabinho.
