It is still far from certain that midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will leave Inter this summer despite the rumours that have linked him with sales to either Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that everything will come down to the 30-year-old Croatian international’s decision, and that as of yet he has hardly resolved to be on his way this summer.

Just twelve months after signing a contract extension with Inter until the end of June 2026, the rumours that Brozovic may leave the Nerazzurri in the summer have been increasing in volume.

There have even been reports that a departure is all but certain for the Croat, with suggestions that a rift between the player and club has formed behind the scenes particularly regarding the management of two long-term injuries this season.

As far as where Brozovic could go, La Liga giants Barcelona have been strongly linked.

There have been suggestions of a swap deal between the Nerazzurri and the Blaugranas involving Brozovic and former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie.

The Ivorian has been a target for the Nerazzurri ever since he was at La Dea, whilst Brozovic is reported to be seen by Barcelona as an ideal replacement for Sergio Busquets in midfield.

The rumours of a potential swap deal involving the midfield pair first emerged during the January transfer window, and have come back up following a meeting between the two clubs’ Sporting Directors.

Then Barcelona are not the only club linked.

Yesterday it was reported that PSG are also keen, and have held talks with both of Inter and with the representatives of the player concerned.

However, FCIN have poured a bit of cold water on these rumours, and report that there have been no serious talks between Brozovic’s representatives and PSG.

Rather, the Croat is still under contract with Inter for three more seasons, and as things stand is still thinking about his future, the outlet report.
