Juventus coach Max Allegri has denied the reports that he badly lost his temper in the dressing rooms following his team’s loss to Inter in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday evening.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of his team’s Serie A match against Bologna tomorrow, via FCInterNews, the 55-year-old downplayed his antics after the Coppa Italia semifinal second leg, suggesting that it was mere gossip that follows a big Bianconeri loss.

In the aftermath of Inter’s 1-0 win over Juventus on Wednesday to reach the Coppa Italia final, reports emerged that Bianconeri coach Allegri vented his anger in the dressing rooms after going down the tunnel after the match.

The former AC Milan and Cagliari coach is reported to have encountered Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin, with whom he used angry and obscene language.

Then, it is reported that Allegri castigated his players for the loss in similarly intense language in the dressing room.

Reportedly, the Bianconeri even called Inter to smooth over the tensions following the coach’s angry words.

However, the coach himself has put a somewhat different spin on things, suggesting that in reality this was little more than paper talk.

The 55-year-old intimated that these kinds of stories tend to come out after a team like Juventus lose a prominent match, and de-emphasized the importance of it.

Asked about the incident, Allegri replied “What happened? Who’s reporting it? We have to focus on tomorrow’s match.”

“I’ve been told that there was something that happened in the dressing rooms,” he continued.

“When a team loses, especially Juventus, people start to speculate things, people let their imaginations run wild and say things that aren’t true,” he continued.

“I repeat, when things aren’t going well, that’s just what happens, and so you just have to make sure that you don’t lose,” he added.
