Inter Milan are eyeing up Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie for the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who name the pair among the Nerazzurri’s targets for an ambitious summer squad revamp.

As the Gazzetta notes, Inter’s earnings from the Champions League this season alter their summer plans significantly.

With the revenues potentially rising to over €100 million if Inter reach the final of the competition, the Nerazzurri can think about summer signings.

The Gazzetta reports that Inter’s plan is to refresh the team all through the spine with signings in three positions.

Chelsea Defender Chalobah & Ex-Man City Star On Inter’s Radar

First, Inter will have to replace PSG-bound Milan Skriniar in their backline. According to the Gazzetta, Chelsea’s Chalobah is a major target to replace the former Sampdoria man like-for-like.

The other player who the Nerazzurri are eyeing up in this regard is Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo. The 25-year-old ex-Manchester City man has been enjoying a breakout season for the Cottagers in the Premier League.

Barcelona Ace Kessie Inter’s Main Target In Midfield

Inter will also aim to reinforce in the centre of the pitch. Roberto Gagliardini is set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of next month.

The situation of Marcelo Brozovic is also uncertain, and the Croat could be sold. The Gazzetta report that former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie is Inter’s priority in midfield.

The 26-year-old Ivorian international could leave Barcelona just one year after arriving at the Camp Nou on a free transfer. Inter have considered Kessie a long-term target since he was an Atalanta player.

A deal for Kessie could be within reach for Inter due to Champions League earnings.

Italy Breakout Star Inter’s Main Target In Attack

Inter are also likely to make one big signing in attack this summer.

Accordingly, Romelu Lukaku looks more and more likely to return to Chelsea this season. The Nerazzurri would aim to replace the Belgian with a striker of a similar profile.

According to the Gazzetta, Tigre star and recent Italy international Mateo Retegui is Inter’s main target to replace Lukaku. From Chelsea and Chalobah to Kessie and Barcelona, Inter are planning for the future.
