Chelsea owned striker Romelu Lukaku feels that there is no question Inter Milan is where he belongs.

Speaking to Belgian news outlet HLN, via FCInterNews, the 30-year-old also stressed that there’s no pressure regarding his future.

At the moment, Lukaku’s future appears very much up in the air.

The Belgian is currently only on loan at Inter until the end of next month. Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed that he’ll return to Chelsea when his loan deal ends.

Then, it will be up to the clubs to try and agree a new loan deal for the striker.

If Inter and Chelsea are unable to agree terms on a new loan deal, then Lukaku won’t be back at the San Siro next season.

Should the 30-year-old go back to Chelsea, incoming Blues coach Mauricio Pochettino could reintegrate him into the team.

On the other hand, the player himself would like to make sure he stays at Inter. Lukaku would reportedly be happy to reduce his wages in order to remain a Nerazzurri player next season.

Romelu Lukaku: Inter Milan Is Where I Belong

The player himself has opened up about his own thoughts regarding his situation.

“I think I did well at Chelsea last season,” Lukaku said.

“But I knew then that if it didn’t work out at Chelsea, I would still have Inter available.”

“When I re-signed, I knew: I belong here.”

“I also have this feeling regarding Anderlecht,” the Belgian said of his former club. “I take this club seriously.”

Lukaku stressed that “I want to do my best. People here see it.”

“The encouragement that you get here is the best that you can get,” the Belgian said of being an Inter player.

As for his future, Lukaku said that “We’ll see. I’m just living moment by moment.”

“I don’t feel any stress or pressure,” the 30-year-old said of thinking about his future. “A decision has to be made. That’s it.”
